Mom’s Meatballs

Ingredients

  • mortadella 100gr
  • mixed pork / veal minced meat 200gr
  • bread crumbs
  • grated Parmesan
  • 2 eggs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • fry oil
  • milk

Preparation

  1. Ideas for a rainy evening? Try making these meatballs with your children.
  2. In a bowl mix the ground meat with finely chopped mortadella or cut into small cubes, 2 eggs, salt and pepper, grated Parmesan and a dash of milk until the mixture has become homogeneous and remains compact once the spherical shape is created of the meatball.
  3. Prepare the round meatballs, about 4/5 cm in diameter and roll them in the breadcrumbs so that the breadcrumbs cover the entire surface of the meatball.
  4. Heat plenty of oil in a saucepan and, when it is hot, dip the meatballs until they have a golden color and the outer surface is not crisp.
  5. To make them even more delicious you can dip them in a light mayonnaise with a tablespoon of white yogurt.
